CONTEXT

Credited as Motion Artist on Nimona, an Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-finalist Netflix feature produced at DNEG, one of Hollywood's most decorated VFX studios with eight Academy Awards. The work was to build the film's visual world from the inside out: every screen, interface, typographic system and in-world graphic had to feel native to its fictional universe, not designed on top of it.

DIRECTION

Working directly alongside the film's directors and senior VFX team, the contribution spanned dozens of individual design briefs within a collaborative production pipeline that generated over 400 unique animated elements. The work included sci-fi interface design, large-scale set environment graphics, motion branding and typographic animation, all built to live inside the film as if they had always existed there. That is the standard of the brief: design so embedded in the world that the audience never notices it was made.

The visual system was designed to carry the tone the experience needed: precise enough to feel like Samsung, loose enough to feel like play. Icons were built with an illustrative weight that sits between UI component and character object. The mascot came from the same logic: not a branded asset added at the end, but a natural extension of a system that had personality built into its foundations.
